The Last of the Vegas pics.... Random

Day 5

On Monday we headed to Hilo- about 3 hours away- near there is the Volcanoes- we only saw the observatory- because there was too much Sulphur in the air- and we were not allowed in to see the Lava. Next time! It was wow!
We then headed- to the best place! Black Sand Beach! Its amazing!!! so black - and a Seal had washed up on shore- poor thing :( We also saw a Sea Turtle. It was a fun day!!!!! It rained on and off- and we even saw a rainbow :)
Hard to imagine we would soon be home.. sob.

Sunday- Day 4

We decided to head to a nearby church- outside. It was beautiful! I forgot to take pictures. It was very nice to be looking out at the waves while listening- or shall I say watching the Big Screen tv- other people were inside.

After we went back to our condo and read- the afternoon away.... It was sooo nice- to have no routine! That night we went to Walmart- and kept listening- as the Hurricane warning was still in effect! For dinner we had microwave Indian food - Hubby had steak and potatoes- then we watched TV!

Our "1" Year Anniversary :)

On Saturday Morning- August 8th- we took a sweet drive around part of the Island- The Kohala coast- Beautiful!!!!! We then got ready for our special dinner at :Jameson's by the Sea- right under our condo! We just had to walk downstairs!!! I had pre- booked & ordered a special martini for Hubby- a 007- rum and coconutty. He loved! We had a delicious dinner over looking the Ocean- Hubby had some nice fish- Mai ahi? some fancy name and veggies, rice. I had Shrimp Scampi! The best ever and yummy sauce! We felt the waves spray us- it was great!!!!! So then the waiter came with a suprise slice of cake- with one candle on it ! Great end to a Lovely night!!!!

Day 2

The day after we arrived to Kona - we went to this gorgeous: Hapuna Beach!!! Rated one of the best in the world. oh ouch! We got scorched after like one hour! The sand was soooooooooo fine, but hot! We packed a picnic! The ocean was beautiful!!!!!!! Perfect blue water. I got seasalt in my mouth! Ugh! Hate when that happens!!! And then my sunglasses flew off after the wave crashed on me :) Hubby found them under the ocean! lol! It was a glorious day! We had pizza for din din that night at our condo :) Oh yes, I had my daily nap- Hubby somehow snuck some pics of me. No! ha ha.

Hawaii 2009

The first day we arrived 1/2 early @ 11:30 am - Hawaiian time which is 3 hours behind here. We got our of the plane- into the Airport at Kona. It was great!!! So sunny and warm :) The flight was about 5.5 hrs. Not bad!!!!
Then the first stop we headed was Costco :) Major fun stuff!!! We got some, water, beer, juice, cheese, crackers, baguettes. and Hershey's kisses with Mac nuts! um Hello.
We arrived at our hotel after 2pm. We changed and went down to the pool- at our place. Amazing!!!! Noone was there- over looked the Ocean. We swam till about 5pm- then decided to go out for Dinner- it was good- had a Ham & cheese Melt * pineapple coleslaw :) Yummy- Hubby Had Eggs- and a meat patty :) It was a cool diner.

Falling asleep to the waves wow! Our balcony was converted to the Bedroom- so it soothed us to sleep!

Amazing Getaway!!!!!!!!!!

ok So I wanna move the Clan to Hawaii forever! lol!!!!!!! It was awesome!!!! So relaxing: and the days went slow and fast! I read alot! It was the Perfect: do nothing holiday. Im gonna do the posts a bit different: Every picture tells a story right? I'll put Pics on them comment later! Im pretty tired still! Got home Thurs - stayed in Seattle- arrived to the hotel at 11:30pm after a quick stop to Burger King for Dinner! We were starved!!!!
