Our San Fran trip~ Aug 11-16/08

The Day after... And another wedding!

So the day after we got married- we flew out of Vegas- hmmm. I was checked over at the gate- I had some hair pins in my hair and the Lady laughed- and said whats going on here- down on my bottom:) I whispered- uh my underwear have diamonds on them :) HA HA HA. I had the "newlywed" undies on. Too funny!!!!!

We got home- and were tired- just sat and funny noone knew the news we were married. It was still top secret. Our Mom- my Hubbys Mom- was not feeling too well. So we went and cheered her up with the news 1st- only because she was due to head to Cali with us- and was not now. She was more than thrilled!!!!!! And was happy we didnt spend alot of $$$ on the wedding. It was so much fun the 2 of us! No stress- especially when I hear of other weddings now Besides * Our honeymoon will be pretty costly. We are aiming for 3 weeks- If not at least 2. We have something to look forward to in 2 years :)


Then on Sunday we attended our niece in Van's wedding. My Husbands niece, it was a beautiful wedding. Most enjoyable.

August 8, 2008 ~

In continuing the story- we loved the ride around Vegas taking pictures. Was hot but so much fun!!!! We came back to the hotel and had about 20 minutes to freshen up. At 7:30 pm the White Limo picked us up! woo hoo. I had never been in a Limo before so this was pretty exciting for me :) We drove to the Airport and were greeted with champagne * fruits / crackers and cheese. The photographer there took some photos of us- which we wont get for awhile- they will be put into a book- like- shutterfly idea? Bound.
The shuttle van picked us up at 8ish? we drove to the strip- where the helicopter awaited:) I hopped on in with groom behind. It was nice and airconditioned. We put on our headphones- and the minister in the back was behind us- Tid bit- hes known as the celeb minister! Hes married Angelina. Billy B, Whoopi- and other.s Too funny! He was very nice and I felt relaxed. As soon as we lifted off- hubby grabbed my hand- aww. By that moment- I didnt feel as nervous- just giggly. We began to fly over the strip- the beg was our hotel MGM grand. The minister was like: this is the only place in the USA where you dont have to look at the minister! HA HA HA. And lets get you folks married- at 1000 feel above the air! too funny! He began- Graham do you take Betsy to be your lawfully wedded wife, to l*ve, honor & cherish in sickness and in health so long as you both shall live? I do. Betsy do you take Graham to be your lawfully wedded husband to l*ve honor and cherish in sickness and in health so long as you both shall live? I do. RINGS **** - we each took the ring- and alone said : I Graham thee wedd- placing it on the finger. I Betsy thee wedd. :) I now pronounce you in the GREAT state of Nevada Husband & Wife. Go on Graham kiss your bride! ******* awww It was a wonderful flight and way to marry. Im all tear writing about it :) I love the ministers accent and how proud he was of his Great state. He was very calming and then before you know it we were back on the ground.
We took our limo back and chilled. Boy it was a long tiring day- and we had to leave at 8am the next day for home! Well we toasted to the new Mr & Mrs. ok well we rested in the jacuzzi- we deserved it!! Lots of walking that day! It was the most amazing day of our lives!!!!!!!

ok so today I take my 4.5 year old niece out to get some new earrings- she recently got her ears * pierced. She is hilarious! First off we went to the newspaper to get a wedding anouncement paper- ad thingy. Then to the mall- she wasnted big ones- well they are dangling- stars- from Le chateau! of all places!
Shes like my nose is doing exercises! LOL

Then her Mom tells me she asked :whats a mennonite? Her Mom tells her - Cassy's reply: Well Im a girlinite!!!!!!!!!! Wahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

4 week anniversary- Lol!!!!!!!!!!

So the day of our wedding we woke up at about 9- I raced down to the nail salon in the mgm grand. It was brillant!!!! The lady did exactly the colors I had hoped for- yay! Sky blue - for my toes- & a pale pink on my hands :) I was so happy with the turnout! It was fun to see other brides in their too- getting ready.

Then I went back up and the groom and I went to get our yummy goat cheese. avacado. walnut. sandwiches:) yummy. I had half- then the other later in the day. I was too tied up with butterflies:)

Walking back to the room after my salon appt. I realized this was the big day and it had finally come! I was more than excited!!!

At 2 pm- I had a girl come to the room to do my hair and makeup- I was also pleased with her job as well. It was nice she came - I could relax- then the photo chick showed up too. We found them on craigs list- a hubby/wife team- just new at wedding pics. Boy were we ever pleased with how they shoot!!!! It was relaxed and easy going.

So here I am all done- then the hair/makeup gal helped me with my dress. as the groom got ready. Then she left and I made my entrance- lol!!! We were both smitten with how we looked! It was a princess moment! LOL. Wow so off with the prince downstairs- to our photographers- who for 2 hours took us around the city. We went to diff spots and hotels. It was hot!!!!!! Poor groom- in his suit :( we got some water bottles on the way. I was really surprised- I was not that hot. It was so much fun!!! People were honking at us- and congratulating us all around Vegas. It was cool.
Then when we got back to the hotel- these college boys- starting clapping at us. Funny!

On Sunday we celebrated my cool BIL's b-day. It was a fun filled night! We had Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, carrots, and cucumber salad! Yumm! Compliments to Mom & Dawn :)

For dessert we had strawberry cheese cake! Thanks Con!

Dont the girls look cute in their saris???? The Babe Claire is now 5 months old!
