Uk 2013!

What a whirlwind!!! Heading to Europe was amazing! I would live there in a second! Been that my Hubby is a Brit- it was very fun to see how he saw it there! He left Liverpool on the ship to Canada at age 3 and had not been back yet :)

We won a 2 night trip to see Michael Buble in London in concert ( no pics :( ) that concert was sweet!!!

So we asked for an extension, as 3 days is not enough with the distance and jet lag- to our delight we were offered an extra 7 or 10 days- we took the 10! No charge! on Air transit- so we just had to find the rest of the accommodations! No worries.

We arrived at 630 am Saturday morning to London-time- took the train from Gatwick airport- into London- walked out of the station into a scene of red double decker buses, and people starting their day, as we pulled our suitcases along!

Hubby flagged a taxi, we would of never gotten to the hotel by metro or aimlessly walking. It was fun! We left stuff there- and headed to a bookstore- only thing opened, peeked around in there.

Found a cute little restaurant and had our first English breakie :) ok I had salmon- it was yummy! Portion in Uk are big, and shops close early- and eats too 9 or 10 pm some most places :(

After breakie- we walked around-walked through hyde park- and Kensington park! Wow its like all the pictures you see! and then went back to the hotel- by this time 1:30- we were able to check in!  dinner at Pizza Hut- a fancy one lol! with wine too- funny! then when and watched some Telly at the hotel- bed till about 2am. It was great- we usually stay up at home very late past 1 am on weekends,  so it was no biggie

we were starting to adjust! yay!

It sounded so fun! Not sure I could handle salmon for breakfast. :(
Love Big Ben and Buckingham. I can still remember being there even though it was many years ago!
So glad you had the opportunity to go - can't wait to see more pics.

Darryl loves salmon for breakfast when he is away travelling...I really don't get that at all...but I'm not a fish lover! It is common in Europe though and plenty seem to like it!
