Day 3...

oh the jet lag- carried on but hey! We were gone by 11am! lol. We decided today we would go to the World Trade Center Memorial= oh the sadness. Being there was so unreal- seeing on the people on the wall- sad music playing. Saw an actual firemans's outfit- in the case. And a fork and spoon- destroyed by the impact of the planes crashing. Also a part of the wing. So sad. Im so glad we saw what the NYC people went through, it lingers on..... :( Shopped a bit after- Macy's was great! Didnt buy anything- but normal prices= like the Bay here? I mean sweaters $30 - its not as people see on tv! Or scary at all! Loved the Subway had a pass.
Then we out for a nice dinner- I forget what I had? potato skins? I had a yummy Blue Hawaiian drink too! It was another wonderful day in New York City! We really felt like we lived there!
Also saw a cute boy in the subway playing his music! too cute!

Day 2

We woke up at 12 noon! Cuz of the time diff!!! Ahhh- off we went - decided to go to Brooklyn today- very rainy day! I took a sweet misty pic of the Empire State Building!
We shopped and walked! Decided we were starved! So we found- the best Mac & Cheese place! Heaven! I had the Mac-n-Cheese for the "upper crust". Creamy Brie, roasted figs, roasted shiitake mushrooms & fresh rosemary. It's addictive! Oh my! Hubby had an East Indian dish- the boys- a hamburger one & bbq chicken! Wow Mac and Cheese will never be the same! After that we headed home about 10:30! Long fun day!!!!!!

NEW YORK 2010!!!

Oh my! Was the most coolest place ever! New Fave spots! Vegas & New York! lol. I usually either like a place or simply not. Eg- Would not go back to San Fran. It was ok.

Day 1- we flew out on American airlines @ 8am- smooth ride! NYC is 3 hrs ahead- im still adjusting. The first 4 or 5 days we woke up at 12- 12:30- which is 9- 9:30 am here! Ugh! It was terrble!
Otherwise when you first arrive- its like wow! We headed to our rented condo- then off to the subway to Times Sq which was about 8 min by subway!
1st we went to the Manhattan diner for din din! It was soooo sweet finally being there! We never felt unsafe once! Already planning to go back in Spring 2011? for a few days...... then maybe a cruise out!
